The Whitelisting Guide for HacWare Training emails in Gmail

To ensure your HacWare training emails are getting delivered to your GMail users, please follow Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3 of this guide.

Part 1 : CONFIGURE INBOUND GATEWAY

1.  Go to the Google Admin console and select Apps > Google Workspace > Gmail > Spam, Phishing and Malware.

2. On the left, select an organizational unit.

3. Edit the Inbound gateway by pressing the pencil icon.

4. Add HacWare's IP to the list - 149.72.222.44

5. Select "Require TLS for connections from the email gateways listed above"

6. Select the SAVE button.

Part 2 : CONFIGURE SPAM RULES

1. Go to the Google Admin console and select Apps > Google Workspace > Gmail > Spam, Phishing and Malware.

2. On the left, select the organizational unit that HacWare is installed on.

4. Point to Email Allowlist and click on it.

5. Enter the IP Address: 149.72.222.44. Use a comma between each entry if there is more than one.

6. Select the SAVE button. Note: As you save this data, you may be redirected to the Google consent screen.

7. Point to SPAM and click on CONFIGURE or select ADD ANOTHER RULE.

8. Select the following:

• Bypass spam filters for internal senders.

• Bypass spam filters for messages from senders and domains in selected lists.

  • Select "Create or edit list"

• Bypass spam filters and hide warnings for messages from senders or domains in selected lists.

  • Select "Use existing list"

9.  If an email list has been created, select "Use existing list", otherwise click on "Create or edit list".

If you select "Create or edit list", this will take you to the ‘Edit address list’ view in Apps > Google Workspace > Settings for Gmail > Manage address list.

• Select the "ADD ADDRESS LIST" link.

10. Create an address list by doing the following:

• Enter a name for the address list.

• Select the "Add" link

• Type the domain urgentmailer.com into the address field.

• Select the "ADD ADDRESS" link

• Type the domain hacware.com into the address field.

• Click SAVE to save the new spam setting.

11. Click SAVE to save the new spam setting.

Part 3 : Configure Allow List RULES

In your Google Console, go to the Alowlisted domains screen.

1. Select the "Add domain" link

2. Type the domain urgentmailer.com

3. Type the domain subdomain.hacware.com

   1. Replace the subdomain with your HacWare domain

   2. Select the ADD button.

4. Select the SAVE button.

It can take up to 24 hours for your changes to take effect. You can track changes in the Admin console audit log.
